– “The New Yorker.” I haven’t blogged in forever, but this was literally the most I’ve ever related to an article in my life. I’m so, so, so terrified of elevators. And I’m not alone!

Get incepted
I saw Inception today. I’m no Roger Ebert, but I’m happy to share my opinion on films. Here’s the thing: everyone likes a good mindf**k sometimes (and that’s exactly what Inception is), but there comes a point where that can go a little TOO far. The writer of this film spent 12 years writing it, and by the end, he didn’t just end up with Leo DiCaprio going inside...
Bird crap and the fourth of July
I escaped the heat this past weekend and hit the beach near Santa Barbara to celebrate the fourth (me and Oprah, according to Bill Feingold at K-NEWS).
The weekend was good save one minor incident. There I was, sitting at a picnic table, enjoying a riveting game of King’s Cup, and I feel something hit my back. I was undisturbed, since the weekend had already been riddled with fallen leaves...

I SOOOOOO do this. I go so far as to say, “oh, that’ll be a good cosmic quote for you.”
An April Fools Voicemail
“Hey dad … uh, so, Alex and I left the car keys in the car while we were skiing today, and, we went back to the parking garage, annnddddd the car … wasn’t there. I’m not sure if it was moved or stolen or what, but I guess I’m going to call the police right now and see what they say. So, uh.. call me back?”
The returned phone call.
Dad: “Ok, did...
Chapman Prank: “Fake Bathroom Attendant.”
I made this to apply for the phone prank position on JoJo on the Radio’s show at KIIS. I’m too little apparently, but they still liked it!

MISSING CLASS FAIL.
Hi Tyler, Thank you for your note and your homework. Unfortunately, I cannot accept it because it’s timestamped after 8:30 AM. I know this is an unpleasant bit of news I have to deliver to you on St. Patrick’s Day, but I have to apply the policy even-handedly. I’m sure you can appreciate that. Sorry, Tyler.

Fame.
It’s official. I’m famous. Check out the video I made for KIIS FM’s Boy Toy Jesse for my internship on the KIIS webiste or on YouTube.
In Jerry Hicks's most recent Panther critique:
“Unfortunately, as so happens with people my age, I got sick this week. I didn’t miss class —- I NEVER miss class —- but I haven’t been doing a very good teaching job. (Thank God I had a guest speaker in 215).
Even so, after I got off a phone interview for a magazine story, I hustled over to Chapman Radio to try to catch some of the hoopla about the new studio. (Hell, it’s...

I discovered this morning that my roommate Alex has never heard the song “Landslide.” He asked me if I liked Fleetwood Mac, and I was like, “yeah, I only know ‘Landslide,’” and he was like, “What? What is that?”
Then he insisted we look on iTunes to determine if this song was actually popular, and, of course, it was Fleetwood Mac’s most...

teaandtulips:
I lucked out on Sunday night and was actually driving between the hours of 6 and 7 pm. This is TAM’s 400th episode, an incredible feat. I’m dreading the day when this show retires, but until then, I relish in the incredible creativity and journalistic quality in every single episode.
The funny funeral story is my favorite.

Being old
I’ve never felt so apathetic about Delt voting. The young ones are taking over, and the old ones are seeming less and and less vocal. Est la vie.
Statistic fail.
I had to rent a car the other day when I dropped mine off at the service place. The man giving me the rental went on a 10-minute rant about why I should by his $11.00 Enterprise insurance, and his main point was this:
“Most car accidents are the other person’s fault.”
Are you KIDDING me, Enterprise man? Then what the hell do you tell that other guy? “Most car accidents...

A sprained ankle really hurts
In 15 years of playing tennis, this is the FIRST time it’s happened to me. Unfortunately, it happened when I live on the second floor of a house, when I have roommates who sleep all day to the point where I have no one to help me do anything, when spring semester classes start in a day and I’m about to meet a bunch of new people in a limpy, pathetic state, and, of course, when tennis...
